Partnering Organizations

Town of Fort Edward:  Formally awarded the CARE level 1 grant to carry out workplan goals and objectives for the FE CARE project with the intent of securing Level 2 funding.  The Community Coordinator reports to the Town Supervisor and Town Council.  Visit the Town website at : www.fortedwardny.net.

Village of Fort Edward:  The Board actively participates, provides support and guidance on environmental health issues that directly affect residents and will actively assist with any CARE derived mitigation and prevention measures.

Fort Edward Chamber of Commerce:  Representing local business interests and with a concern for socio-economic issues in the community, the Chamber actively supports through representation at CARE meetings and via communications to it's membership.  Visit their website at: www.fortedwardchamber.com.

Fort Edward Local Development Corporation: The development arm for the Town, and oveerseers of the renovation project for the Historic Train Station, the board provides support and input in identifying and prioritizing environmental risks that affect the development efforts in the Town. 

Adirondack Community College: Part of the SUNY (State University of New York) system, the academic instituion actively participates in Team meetings and will provide assistance with coordinating related outcomes with their educational and outreach capabilities.  Visit the ACC website at : www.sunyacc.edu

Rogers Island Visitor Center: The RIVC provides learning opportunities in pre and colonial history through exhibits, lectures workshops and public events.  They graciously provide their conference facilities at no cost for CARE Team monthly meetings.  Visit their website at: www.rogersisland.org

Rogers Island Heritage Development Alliance: The managing board for the visitor center and catalyst for heritage tourism development in the community, they support and will assist with mitigation and prevention measures as they relate to visitors, guests and  heritage development efforts.  Visit the RIVC website: www.rogersisland.org.

Adirondack/Glens Falls Transportation Council: The A/GFTC is the regional Metropolitan Planning Organization that develops and prioritizes policies, programs and projects for the area's highways and infrastructure, in accordance with it's Planning Principles.  They offer, encourage and support efforts that create awareness and use of environmentally sound transportation practices.   Visit their website at: www.agftc.org
