Community Action for a Renewed Environment
The CARE process is a voluntary partnership program that supports community driven strategies to address the exposure to toxics & pollutants and their affect on the environment, as it relates to human health, and the socio-economic condition of the community.
The U.S. EPA provides funding, technical assistance and resources.
Fort Edward was awarded a Level 1 grant which provides funding for two years. The community is organizing itself and will work through the CARE process to create opportunities for community awareness, education, empowerment and action to improve the environment, health and socio-economic condition of the community.
